Waqar Younis Turned Down as Australia’s Bowling Coach

Waqar Younis, ex- Pakistani swing King, run for becoming bowling coach of Australia is over when he was rejected for the post following an interview by Australian Board. Australian Cricket has been looking for a bowling coach since when Craig McDermott left his post in May because of hectic scheduling, with Younis openly announcing his desire for coach as well as work with the Aussie camp. Waqar said that, he was interested although it did not work out between Cricket Australia and him, it didn't actually work out.

Cricket Australia did interview him. He guesses what he is offering and what they are searching are 2 different things. He doesn’t know, he hasn’t really asked them the details although that is how it stands at present. It has simply been in the last few days. He wanted that he is eager to be coach in Australia even if it guides to coaching younger players. Waqar later confirmed that any progress about a time with Down Under giant is not require for now, whereas extra adding that he is currently looking at further possibilities.

Mitchell Johnson Welcomed Back To Australian Team for England Tour

The man who revived fast bowlers of Australia, Craig McDermott, has resign after only one year in the work, leaving the squad in the search for a new fast-bowling coach as it crafts for the Ashes. Craig McDermott said that, the demands of being on the street had played a huge part in his decision.

McDermott said that, it has been a very hard decision to quit his position as the bowling trainer of the Australian cricket squad, a job he have mostly enjoyed since beginning a year ago. Though the schedule of the team is a particularly busy one as well as after looking at the approaching touring demands, he felt this to be an ideal decision from a professional and personal viewpoint.

Mitchell Johnson has pick his in the Australian cricket team, whereas Ed Cowan has been selected as skipper of Australia A. Mitchell Johnson has not played for Australia from the tour of South Africa previous year. Johnson was then sidelined for 6 months after suffering major foot surgery.

John Inverarity, Australian chairman of selectors said on Thursday that, Mitchell Johnson is a marvelous cricketer with an impressive record and they want to see him back on ground. Johnson also is in strong converse for the ICC World Twenty20 as well as needs to be in the team and have some quality spirited cricket leading into this.'

Cricket Australia Board Want Smaller Board

CA (Cricket Australia) said recently that, it would look for approval from the state associations to start a change to a smaller board. The change needs a majority of 11-14ths member to be approved at a special Cricket Australia meeting in July, which following a board meeting in the month June.

Wally Edwards, CA chairman is assured of success even though South Australia opposes the stage-2 model of all 9 directors which is being independent of state boards.
The present CA board has 14 members from 6 states, along with each state nominating between 1 and 3 directors each.
